Let me guess... did you 'win' a package from them after giving your name to David's Bridal? That's what happened to me. The 'prize' sounded shady though (I don't remember details), but after asking around, I decided to steer clear.

We looked into Giant Eagle floral (recommend), Heinens floral (ended up using a Heinens florist from her home workshop) and a shop called Rose Haven (whom I would NOT recommend. If you are on a budget, definitely check out your local Giant Eagle. I think delivery depends on how far your event is from the GE location you use, but even if you had to coordinate pickup for bouquets/bouts/corsages, I think it would be easy.

We used a woman named Diane Vargo who at the time was a Heinens florist. While Heinens at that time (5 yrs ago) did not do wedding florals, Diane did them from her home workshop and we were amazed by her work and her price.

Also, if you plan to use lots of roses, I've heard that Ety with Roses for Weddings does a nice job and is reasonable. She also does arrangements involving other flowers, but from what I understand, roses are kind of her Specialty.

    Good luck!

Thanks for the info!! We are on a budget for our flowers. We're going to attempt making them, but also wanted a back up plan just in case we're unable to make make them. I'm by a GE and Hienes, so I'll check them out.

This info is also helpful to me too. Even though I have some time to go...1 year and 5 months Im trying to get possibly vendors that I would like to use for everything. The florist five years ago who worked at Heinens...do you have contact infromation for her?

I'm using Diane Vargo too.. she is still at Heinins in Brecksville! She is a close family friend of mine and has done every flower for any event for my entire family, I'm talking down to my every homecoming corsage! Her work is amazing and price can't be beat. The best way to get in touch with her is to stop in the Heinins or call up there. I don't know if they do wedding flowers out of heinins yet for sure. But i'm sure that should help you get started!

<div>For my wedding we were fortunate enough to have Diane Vargo do the flowers. My husband and I both worked with her at the Heinen's in Brecksville, and she has become a personal friend.

I was trained in floral design by her, and <em>everything</em> I've ever seen her produce has been beautiful! She has a brilliant eye for design. Whether you are looking for modern/different/atypical design or the more traditional/romantic/classic look she is the perfect woman for the job! Designing for weddings is her love!  (And she's happy to work within any budget!)</div><div>
</div><div>The flowers for our wedding all came from Heinen's, and I got so many compliments! Everyone asked who designed them and where they came from! (While this isn't the greatest picture of what she designed, you get an idea).
The bridal bouquet was dinner plate size - mostly whites per my request, and the bridesmaids were slightly smaller.

If you need to get in touch with her however, she was recently transferred to the Heinen's in Mentor, Ohio. You can stop in or just call the store and ask to speak to Diane in Floral. Telling her how you heard about her is usually important as she really enjoys designing for those who have heard of her through happy clients!</div><div>
    </div><div>Rene & Drew Piasecki <u>highly</u> recommend her! <img src="http://cdn.cl9.vanillaforums.com/downloaded/ver1.0/content/scripts/tinymce/plugins/emotions/images/smiley-smile.gif" border="0" alt="Smile" title="Smile" /></div>
