October 2012 Weddings

Fun pictures anyone?

So, with 8 days left (EEEEEEEEEEKS!) I'm down to small projects, extras, and making sure I have an idea of 'fun' wedding pictures with the wedding party.  Oh, and crying at the drop of a hat.  Can't forget that!

Anyway, I have friends who have recently gotten married and have taken to looking through their FB pictures for anything inspiring.  Sadly, most of them are BORING and include the posed family pictures, some wedding party pictures, but mostly- it's all posed, big smiles, and just boring.

Can I pick some brains here?  Is there anything creative you guys have done or are doing?  So far, I have:

-Recreate the line up from 'Bridesmaids' Movie

-Have FI hold his hand out, showing his ring, while his guys and our son get super emotional and freak out over it.  (Kind of like this:  http://pinterest.com/pin/202028733255546948/ )

-Spell out LOVE in red rose petals with us in the background kissing

-Picture of our son under my dress (similar to this:  http://pinterest.com/pin/202028733255546942/ )

-Picture of me in FI's hoodie, dancing

-Making hearts with our hands

Anything I'm missing?

Re: Fun pictures anyone?

  • we are trying to do a good mix of traditional pics (for the family shots - super boring, just everyone lined up at the alter) and fun pics for the bridal party and for me & FI.

I think all the ideas you listed are cute.

I def. want a pic of FI holding me above his head - might be tricky w/ the dress, haha

We met at Arthur Treacher's (fast food fish & chips place similar to Long John Silver's). thought it might be cute to do a few quick shots there if time permits

but other than that, I'm stumped on 'fun' ideas too.

  • I did Charlie Angels pose with my BP using our bouquets as guns. We did funniest face you could make pictures. We had stairs at the venue so we did the Brady Bunch thing. FI and his grooms people did zombie poses.

  • I found a few on pinterest but I dont know if we will do them. I think FI would love to do a football pose (http://pinterest.com/pin/21392166951183882/)
I like this one, but you have to get FI to do it while doing th e kiss in the ceremony (http://pinterest.com/pin/21392166951363780/)

    I LOVE IT :D

and the under dress one sort off... got our little ring bearer looking under LOL

  • We'll see how ours turned out! We didn't do too many crazies, but we got fun ones of me with each of the individual BM's, in addition to the traditional ones. We also had a photo booth, and I know there are some good ones in there. There's one where my bro's GF, also a BM dove onto the ground so her head is poking out from under the front of my dress! She ripped it in the process, but said it was sooo worth it. haha. I can't wait to see it! If any are in our preview in the next couple of days, I'll share :)

  • We did the one of the groom holding out his ring and the guys making faces at it, and it was really funny. I wanted to do the Bridesmaids lineup and completely forgot to do it. (Oh well...)

Some of our funniest pictures were of odd groups of people (my grandma, cousin, uncle, and Husband's dad's girlfriend) doing shots together. There's always someone making a hilarious face during thosw!

We took a really great one with our dog after the ceremony - he was the ring bearer. http://laurenbultmanblog.com/2012/10/17/1059/
