  • mmmmm...I might steal that second recipe!

Im going to make my 'go to' dish tonight.  Its salmon in a zesty sweet sauce.  The sauce is made with light brown sugar lemon juice and Dijon mustard.  After the salmon is almost cooked the glaze goes on and you broil it in the oven.  It is soooo good (and easy to make)!
I've loved you since I was 8 years old...

  • No real food for me this week since I just had an adjustment (fluid added) to my Lapband.  Protein shakes for the next two days before moving on to mushy food on thursday!  Going to be a great week LOL

I'll probably make FI some chicken, salad, cauliflower "rice", and baked turnip slices.

  • I don't get to cook a lot at my house seeing as I still live at home and my schedule Is busier than everyone else's. I do want to AW my awesome Christmas gift that I got from FIs mother. A gift set of these amazing specialty olive oils from a new little shop in our town. They infuse all of their own oils!! I cannot wait to use them!!! I got red apple, cinnamon pear, black cherry, basil (which is my favorite herb) and strawberry I believe. I will be looking up ways to use them. I am so so excited.
  • Last night I made this Baked Honey Dijon Salmon which, despite all the amazing reviews, I wasn't a huge fan of :(  http://allrecipes.com/recipe/baked-dijon-salmon

I had high expectations for it, so I was bummed that it didnt turn out as great as I'd hoped!

Homemade pita and hummus.  Had a long day and I'm too annoyed to make anything else.
I made "beef" stew, but my dad thought it was his and ruined it by putting beef and adding some gravy in it.  It almost made me puke when I realized what he did.
Here is the recipe I used in a crock pot:

Tomorrow: I'm having roasted red pepper and tomato soup.
Thursday: Chickpea burgers and egg plant fries (Please...try the fries!!!!! I promise you will love them click the link)
    Friday: No idea.....
