cheap shower venues-western burbs

hi all,
I am planning a shower for a friend this April and becuase none of the bridesmaids have a large enough home to host it, i am looking for a cheap nice venue to have the shower at.  Any suggestions would be great!
Thanks!
Maura

My first thought was something like a Maggiano's.  Do you have a preferable 'burb?

I've been to Wildfire in Oak Brook for a private party that was really nice and then my BM hosted her sister's baby shower at Limestone Restaurant & Brewery in Plainfield which was really nice as well!

Thanks guys ill check those out.  I know she is not a fan of maggiano's but ill look at the other suggestions.  Looking mostly in Oakbrook, Lisle, Downers Grove, Lombard area.  Also Chicago works too, but I am just assuming that everything in that area would be significantly more money.

We had my aunts bridal shower at Maya Del Sol in Oak Park. http://www.mayadelsol.com/menu_private_lunch.php
According to the website, their meals range from $20-50 pp.

I can't tell because I'm at work but I think there are pictures of our bridal shower. We had a wonderful time.

EDIT- Can you define western suburbs and cheap? I live in Aurora and Walter Paytons would also be nice is she is into beer but I have never attended a bridal shower there.

Meson Sabika in Naperville (great brunch), Claim Jumper in Lombard, Cozymel's in Wheaton (Mexican food, love it)...I'll keep thinking!

ooooh!  All great ideas.  Ill check them all out.  In addition, one of the BMs that is hosting with me does not want to have an open bar for everyone.  She said that every wedding shower she has been to at a venue has been cash bar.  I disagree.  Am I wrong?  Obviously we all agree NO cash bar at the actual wedding, but what is the etiquette for a bridal shower?

Eeeeh, that's tricky.  I've never been to a shower with a cash bar.  Maybe suggest brunch...not too many people are hardcore daydrinkers, and you could limit it to mimosas/bloody marys or a champagne toast.  I personally wouldn't bat an eye if I went to a brunch that offered champagne only.

I threw a bridal shower for my SIL at the Tango Grill in Naperville and we had a great experience.  We had brunch, they only charge $15.95 per person plus they had unlimited champagne mimosas, a made to order omelet and crepe station and the overall food spread was great.

Even better, we were given their upstairs private party room for no charge and was able to bring in cake and decorations.  If you are going cheap, I would highly recommend Tango Grill!

Here are pictures of the space when I was checking it out while shopping for shower venues for my SIL:

    Mon Ami Gabi in Oakbrook.
Went to a party there and it was fantastic!

I would stick with a brunch/lunch too, as a way to keep the bar costs down. And maybe do a bloody mary bar or mimosas but I don't think a full open bar is necessary.

I think the only showers I've ever been to at restaurants have been for brunch and I've never seen a cash bar.  I agree with PP's that if you do it at brunch, booze isn't really expected, so you could probably do just mimosas or bloody marys to keep cost down.  Quite honestly, at brunch, I doubt too many people would really even miss the liquor if you skipped it altogether.

I don't know how much it cost but I went to a shower at Meson Sabika for their Sunday brunch and it was delicious!

Gatto's Downtown Downers Grove is great for showers and can be very affordable as well.
