Today was a very eventful day. Let's just say 3 of my closest friends (one being FI's cousin) are pregnant or just had babies. All 3 of them are admitted to the hospital for the night for different reasons.
1) FI's cousin (the one I posted about yesterday) sent me a text in the middle of the night. I quickly looked at it and went back to bed. This morning I looked at it again. She said that they stopped inducing her and in her words "went from plan a to effing plan z." They don't think she is having liver failure, but I found out today it may be kidney stones. That would explain the intense pain. She said the meds they are giving her aren't working for her pain, but the baby is still healthy and doing well. They don't want her to go through childbirth right now because of her unknown condition and they obviously want to keep the baby inside as long as possible since it's still very early. Basically they are afraid that if they have to do a c-section that it may become something life threatening. At this point they are monitoring her and trying to figure out what her issue is.
2) One of my BM's just gave birth 2 weeks ago (I believe I posted about it). She put on facebook today that she's admitted and hooked up. She said she has an infection and a temp of 103. I didn't ask what kind of infection because frankly it's not my business but I do know that her husband and baby are spending the night with her at the hospital because she is nursing.
3) My other friend is due Feb. 28th and is considered full-term today. She's been on bed rest since New Years with high blood pressure. She had a very difficult time getting pregnant, went through IVF and had some instances where she had complications and was hospitalized for that. She's also been in and out of the hospital with high blood pressure and having doctor visits 2x/week for the last 2 months. Since I knew she had an appointment today I texted her asking how her appointment went. She said she is admitted and they said they are inducing her but she wasn't even telling her mom until she actually gets injected. I'm happy to say that she is the one we were most worried about all along and now she's doing the best out of all of them.
Talk about an overwhelming day! Please keep all of my girls in your T's and P's once again.
