We already feel the crunch to find appropriate living space with three bedrooms, since FI's daughter is coming to live with us. We are feeling the pressure, because my son doesn't want her to come (they are both 12, I think this is pretty age appropriate) and asked to move in with his dad (oh hell no). But now...
Three weeks ago, there was a drunken disturbance (that I bolted out into. Stupid drunk men) in our breezeway at my apartment complex. I only broke up a fight between two men, the entire 'party' involved totall around 15 - two women, the rest men.
Last night, I took my son to church and I left for a hair appointment. I went to pick him up and returned home, only to find a small group in my breezeway. A woman was robbed at gunpoint, in front of her two little girls, in between my leaving and returning - a 5-7 minute trip.
I understand that business is about money and filling up the empty apartments makes money. I am furious that when I moved in, it was a safe environment for my son and I, and since they changed managers to 'bring in more tenants' it has changed the demographic and we are not safe any longer!
