Favorite waterproof mascera?

I am a HUGE crier so I know I'm going to be a wreck on my wedding day.  I typically use Cover girl lash blast (think that's what it is called...the one in the orange tube) and it is generally pretty good but it runs on occassion after a shower.  Not that I'll be showering in the middle of the wedding day but I want something a little more durable.  I have fairly long lashes but they are light in color so need something that gives them thickness.  What is your favorite?  I have gotten some of my other eye makeup for the wedding thru a Mary Kay rep so I'd love to find one of their products but primarily want something that holds up so am open to any product.

I'm in love with Benefit right now.  I just got a makeover (for the wedding) at Sephora and bought their new mascara!  I started to cry that night at my bachelorette party - quite a few friends suprised me and i'm sooo emo - but it and my eye liner didn't move.  It was really great...my new fav!

  • Maybelline Falsies (I think, its in a purple tube) it amps your lashes up something fierce and its available in waterproof.  Plus it isn't that expensive.

  • I work on television/movie sets, and the makeup girls that I work with recommended Make up Forever or Smashbox.  They both have waterproof options that give a full length look.  They sell it at Sephora so you could try it out beforehand.  Even after showering, I have to scrub it off! I hope it works for you!

  • I've always used L'Oreal Voluminous in waterproof and regular and love it.  I've been wanting to try one of the falsies though and will before the big day to see if I like it as much as actual false lashes (natural looking ones, not the hooker ones).

Side note, the best thing ever for taking off waterproof mascara is Estee Lauder's Take it Away.  It takes it off without taking your lashes with it.

  • I love Bare Minerals Volumizing mascara in waterproof.  It's light weight and makes me look like I have on fake lashes
  • I swear by Dior's DiorShow mascara.  The original one is the best (and comes in waterproof).  It makes your lashes super thick and comes in brown if your lashes are on the lighter side.  It is not as harsh as the jet black most mascaras tend to come in.

</div><div>THIS!! I am a name brand girl but this is my one drug store buy. falsies is amaaaaaziiiiiiiinnnnnnggggggg. I have small eyelashes and it makes people constantly compliment me. </div>
  • I have long, thick lashes naturally but when I put the Falsies mascara on I swear they really look like I'm wearing false eye lashes.  I can't wear sunglasses after I put it on because my lashes touch (and I buy sunglasses special so they won't touch).  I love it.  I've tried about every mascara known to man over the years and you can't beat this stuff for $7 a tube!!

  • For those of you using the Maybelline Falsies, have you tried the waterproof version?  I know that with L'Oreal Voluminous, the waterproof doesn't make them as thick and long as the regular so I'm curious is the same is true on these and if you still get that look on the waterproof that you do on the regular.

YUP!<div>I wear the waterproof version when I go backpacking or skiing.
<div>The waterproof version is THICKER and LONGER in my opinion. In fact, it works better than the regular version. The only reason I don't wear that every day is because it is HAAARRRRD to get off. LIke.. mega hard... lol. My normal facewash can't pull that stuff off O.o </div></div>
  • I second PP.  I wear it every single day and it is hard to get off but I use Neutrogena oil free makeup remover and it comes off pretty easily.  Nothing else I've found takes it off as easy.  And I wear the waterproof version every single day too.  I always choose waterproof.  Never know when those hormones are going to get the best of you and stir up a crying spell. lol

  • As a makeup artist, I would suggest using MACs Blacktrack Gel liner and MACs Zoom Waterfast lash.

Hope that helps & good luck!
