So here's my dilemma,
I like the idea of a fall wedding, in the cooler but still pleasant fall weather, right around the time the leaves change, without the hassle of so many bugs, snakes, etc. The wedding will be at our farm on a hilltop with one huge oak tree. I don't like the idea of fall colors. I have my heart set on an Aqua/Red color scheme, (we do have a backup..that will come in a minute)..right down to having red Gerber daisies for the BMs and a mix of dyed blue and red daisies for my bouquet, the bridesmaids wearing Aqua, the groom and men in white with an aqua tie, fishbowl centerpieces with blue and red betas (all of which will have homes so please don't jump on me about the centerpieces that's besides the point), and I even had the idea to do Red Velvet cake with aqua icing. BUT..I just can't picture it in fall..because it's obviously not a fall color pallet. The problem is..I don't like fall color pallets..I've never liked spicey scents, spicey colors..I like light breezy colors. Our backup color scheme is Royal blue (almost navy but a little bit blue-er) and bright golden yellow..MUCH more fall-related and I DO love the colors..BUT... I don't want a formal wedding. It's outdoors, we're doing haybale seating with white canvas to cover for comfort, the reception is going to be appetizers with a possible buffet, cupcake-cake with the top tier to save, all FUN and COMFORTABLE, not stiffy and formal.
My question? How can I make the darker, more fall-friendly, color pallete less formal but still classy-fun? When I think of fall and the royal blue, I see silks and more formal flowers (even with the yellow, I see more of Mums and yellow roses than a flower that might suit me better like a daisy or a Lily). I see dark suits instead of the white I had in mind and I just can't picture it. All the inspiration boards I find have silks related to that color pallet so that's not really helping. Any thoughts on any of it?
