stupid old landloard

Ok, so got my security deposit back today... we cleaned our entire apt from top to bottom and then the flipping water tank broke and they came in and did repairs... so we cleaned as much as we could the next day. 

Today I got the security deposit back and they took out $75 for shampooing/flea treating the carpet! It doesnt say in our lease we needed to or anything like that! So, now I'm trying to call and they wont answer/reutrn my phonecalls! After paying a $400 pet deposit for being there for 9 months they had better give me all my money!!!

    You're surprised a landlord is trying to squeeze every dime possible out of you? You're also surprised they wanted to keep a little to clean the carpets when you had pets?

    Sorry.

    Then again, we had to pay $200 nonrefundable for our cats.

    i don't like strawberry shortcake either, but dh does.  this is sometimes frustrating when he orders it in restaurants because then i cannot have tastes of two things; i can only eat my own.

    I've lived and moved out of four apartments in my life and was charged a carpet cleaning fee every time. Read your lease, chances are it said that you will be charged for that.
