Dress Alterations

I bought my dress a year ago for my wedding in March '12 and put a some weight since then. Im in the process of losing it. How many sizes can alteration go up or down???/ I need to know

I think like at least two sizes. I'm sure they could probably do more.

I have had heard 2 as well. However, if you get a really good seamstress I am sure they can do more.
