hair/make up help!

Hi Ladies!  I've been lurking for months, wedding this May in Maui.

Question:  How much did you pay for hair makeup for yourself and/or others (mom, bridesmaids, etc).  Just trying to figure out how much is average because what I have now as options are quite expensive and just wanted to know your experience.

    Well, we're using Dan & Jessica for hair & makeup -- I think they're one of the most expensive.  Jessica is $105 for airbrush makeup including lashes.  Dan is $150 for bridal styling, mothers are $75, and bridesmaids $95.  Travel and trials are extra for both.  I know there are definitely more economical options out there.

    Welcome to the boards!! When in May - I'm also a May bride in Maui.

    I'm using Liz at Kiss the Bride and I'm paying $160 for myself and I think it was $140 for my Mom, no travel fees. Unfortunately no reviews for you yet!

    cryssv, does that include both hair and makeup??

    I'm looking to do hair and make up for myself, both moms and 4 bridesmaids, hence running into money issues!

    I used Dan and Jess and they (especially Jess) were amazing. I know she sometimes works with Shelley (Mariah's Mane?) too.

    I used Mira you can find her info on mauimira.com she did an amazing job.
    I paid $450 for trail and the big day for me.
    Mothers are $180

    I've booked Pam who works at the Four Seasons in Maui and I've been quoted $350 for bridal hair and airbrush makeup.  $225 for Mom's hair and makeup, $125 for makeup only for my sister.  Plus travel fees.  Is this crazy or worth it?  We're getting married on a Sunday so I can't book Dan and Jessica so I need some other options.  Not getting married until November so I have some time but my WC reccommended Pam saying she does fabulous work and we wouldn't be sorry.  That's a lot of money for for a wedding of 12 people or less, right?
