There were quite a few bridal meltdowns on the board this morning so I thought I would add mine. I got a couple of undergarments this weekend and tried on my dress for the first time since it arrived. Neither undergarment worked, but worse: I couldn't zip my dress closed. I panicked, I weighed myself, I called my mom in tears.
She reassured me that I need to get a corset like they put me in at the bridal shop to suck in everything. I didn't want to be one of those brides starving herself to be comfortable in her dress.

But here I am counting calories and trying to get a hold of the out of state bridal salon so I can find out what that miracle undergarment was that they used on me in December. SIGH. At least I have three months to go.
Re: My mini-meltdown. What's yours?
Where did you purchase the dress from?
Have they called you back yet?

sorry! i have a few mini meltdowns but i'll keep them to myself.. haha
My mini-meltdown is also dress related! Eeek I think one because I am so worried I am going to have to wear short little heels because I am 5'10'' and we could only get 2 inches added to the length! So I am having nightmares that even in flats its going to be major high water! Then I had another dress nightmare last night and it had one purple sleeve and one orangle sleeve and had these huge flowers all over it!! EEEK! I think I am just stressing about my first fitting on Saturday!
Mergator- Don't worry those corset things work wonders and like you said you have 3 months, you are going to look gorgeous and it will all work out!
Really, with twelve weeks and great undergarments you've absolutely nothing to worry about. Even if you just lose a half pound a week - that's time for six pounds. And, to lose half a pound a week is usually fairly easy - just cutting back to what is reasonable, adding more vegetables, and working out some - which will do wonders for your sanity anyways. Especially if it's in doing activities you like with people you like - hiking, kayaking, walking, biking, etc. With summer coming up, it'll be easy to get moving just a little more. Check out sparkpeople.com. It has a really reasonable approach to taking care of your body and a few groups on there for brides. It can help you to feel your best and fit into your dress without taking up all of your time or making you miserable between here and there.
For today, though, just step away from this issue for a little while and go on a walk with your FI.
