Individual or Family Favors?

For my favors, I really like the shot glass idea.  We collect shot glasses from places/events we have been to and we already have it designed.  However, I do not know how many to order.  My sister ordered for individual guests and had a bunch of them left over.  My thinking is that each family only really needs one shot glass.  And then maybe have a few extras by the bar in case people want extra.  But then everyone does not receive a favor.  So how do I make my shot glasses into a "family" favor?  I was thinking about personalized candy (like candy bars or minis), but then how do I package it to look like a nice favor without it being too bulky or "busy"?  Or should I nix the entire shot glass idea???  Any advice would be greatly appreciated!  Thanks so much.

    My advice would be 2 shot glasses per couple, what would each couple/family do with one shot glass with your info on it? What about filling the shot glasses with jelly beans or M &M's? and then wrapping them together?

    I personally would nix the shot glass idea.  How many people really want shot glasses with your info on it?  Also, how many people really use shot glasses on a regular basis?

    And this is coming from someone who also collects shot glasses.
