Orange and chocolate brown centerpieces

I'm looking for inspiration/pictures of DIY orange and brown centerpieces. Ideally, I'd like to have a variety of either 2-3 different centerpieces. I've tossed around the idea of incorporating real oranges, so and pictures are certainly welcome!

Re: Orange and chocolate brown centerpieces

  • When's your wedding date/what season?

Especially if it's fall you'll have lots of options for harvest-y things. They're not very formal but can be somewhat dressed-up or more casual. You could do bowls of oranges & whole walnuts, chestnuts, almonds, pecans, brazil nuts, or hazelnuts (pick shells depending on how deep of a brown you'd like). A pomegranate might look nice thrown in if it's late fall or winter (I'm doing mostly poms with some oranges and walnuts for Thanksgiving centerpieces this year). You could also add in various orange squashes or tangerines depending on the season.
Later in the winter you could accent with pinecones- I'm a big fan of the mini ones with gold paint brushed on the outer tips of them when in bowls like that, or at the base of the bowls. Ferrero Rochers can also be put into the bowls, especially on dessert tables. Persimmons are also great, they're a deeper orange (once they're ripe).

You could also do a small vase of orange roses or lilies, with a thick brown ribbon tied around it in a bow. I really like low arrangements with orange flowers in a square brown vase or vase cover, like this:
if you're crafty you could find a plastic square, cut floral foam for the inside, then find a bunch of sticks to saw to the correct length & hot-glue them onto the vase (I'd test it to be sure the sticks look good a few days later and your glue works!). Also looks nice with a ribbon tied around it.
  • Also, DIY would probably get you more answers : )
