how much lighting do i need?

Hi ladies,

I'm getting married at Deering Estate.  Our reception will be outdoors, in the courtyard.  I know I need some uplighting but how much lighting do I need and what other types.  I called Uplyte this week and they quoted me $3400 for lighting!!!!  That is defnitely not in my budget, so I'm trying to figure out how much I really need without spending that much money.

    I booked uplighting with Complete Media Events- Lighting. I am having 16 up lights. There prices start around 400.00.

    I agree, $3400 for lighting is definitely expensive and would be way over my budget too! We're using uplighting on the house and some downlighting in the house and in the courtyard. Our DJ (Shannon from Liquid DJs) is providing our lighting because he has his own lighting company. Give him a call because he can definitely let you know what you need. He's done a number of weddings at the DE and definitely knows his stuff. He's super nice and friendly too, very reasonably priced - you'll love him.
