First Meeting with Photographer

I am meeting with a photographer tomorrow night. I know that I need to meet these photographers so I can get a feel for what they are like and discuss pricing so I can decide on one. Other than that, any suggestions on questions or things to discuss at our first meeting?

    I would make sure that you have a good idea of what you want from a photographer, discuss pricing and then make sure you get as close as you can to what you discussed in your package with other photographers. You want to make sure you are comparing the same thing.

    Ask about down-payments, refunds, pre-event timelines (what pics you want, when they need to be where, etc.) and post-event timelines (how long they have to get your products to you) and things like "what happens if you are in the hospital the day of our wedding?".

    I would also ask if he/she has an idea of a "day of" schedule.  The photographer I chose was a great help in talking about when my ceremony started and worked back from there to determine all the other timing for the day.

    I would also ask how long it takes to get the pictures back after the wedding, it should be in the contract, but I saw a huge variance when I was looking. I would also ask if they work alone or do they bring an assistant.
