bridal shower centerpieces

I am looking for original centerpiece ideas for my daughters shower. Her colors are yellow and pewter. I would like to do something besides flowers , but she is more of a classic taste.

    Does she have any other type of theme?  Initial thoughts begin at pewter candlesticks with varying shades of yellow candles.  Depending on what your daughter is doing for the wedding, or if she has any element of whimsy, you go use fresh lemons in silver dishes or buckets.  Centerpieces could be food driven...such as plates of petit fours or mini cakes surrounded by lace woven with yellow ribbons.....perhaps if you gave a few more details?

    The centerpieces at my shower were teapots with flowers in them since my shower was a Mad Hatter Tea Party.

    I like pp's idea of having food driven centerpieces as well. I've seen cupcake towers/trees as centerpieces, or mini cakes, and I've also seen just beautiful displays of pitchers of mimosas and sangrias.

    For our shower this past weekend, we did gift baskets with different themes. We had one as a movie theme basket (DVD, popcorn, soda, candies, etc.), we also had a few bath & body baskets. The guests really enjoyed winning different baskets!
