Everytime I bring up working on my DIY projects my mom is always like your BMs should be helping and blah blah blah..maybe I dont want there help. I dont mind doing things myself. She is really working my nerve about it.

Have you/are you going to ask your BMs to help with your DIY projects ?

    MY one MOH I know will be helping me if I need it, and two of my BM are my sisters so if I need it I know they will help. But I am not asking anyone else to.

    I haven't asked for their help in anything DIY. If at some point I really need their help, I'm sure they'll be happy to pitch in, but I enjoy crafty stuff and there isn't any time crunch yet, so I'm doing it on my own.

    I only asked my sister to help. A couple of friends offered their help, but I don't want people to back out last minute. My bff may come down and help, but we live an hour away from each other, and I know she will, but I dnt want her to go out of her way. I'm perfectly fine doing it by myself like you said. Dnt like relying on people.

    Nope... I haven't asked my BM's to help... To be honest I don't think I want them too because I would be afraid of micro managing everything... Plus I have FI here to put to work if I absolutely have too lol

    I haven't asked nor do I plan to ask.. I would prefer to do it all myself anyway. The only thing I am having my girls do is help make cookies for our western pa traditional cookie table and some home made hors d'oeuvres. And they offered to do that.

    My Mom said the same thing.  I have so much time now that I can do DIY's.  I don't mind at all.  Usually while I'm watching Bridezilla ( and the Bride is screaming at her BMs for help) or SYTTD.

     lol..right ! I love doing the projects..like other pp I have time to do these things. If I need help that bad..Ill ask my MOH which is my little sister. ..Im like mom relax !

    I'm not asking.  I'm one of those "If I want it done I typically do it myself because I want it a certain way" type of people.  Plus one of my bridesmaids is 4 hours away, and one is still in high school.  The others are at my school, but are just as busy as I am.  My mom's helping me with all my diy stuff which is working out okay so far.

    I haven't asked but everyone has offered. My stepmother is making my sign for our card "box" it's a vintage suitcase my mother is making my pew decorations and my MOH and one of my bridesmaids are going to help do favors, escort cards and table numbers. We are just going to make a day of it, drink some wine, hang out and get crafty.

    My closest BM is over an hour away... the rest are much further away... so I wouldn't really be able to have them help me, even if I wanted them to... But to be honest, I have enough time right now, so anything I need done, I would rather just do it myself anyway.

    Nope, don't plan on asking mine for help. They haven't been things I've needed extra help with so far. My mom's just expressed wanting to help make my centerpieces.

    BMs aren't supposed to be our 'lackeys' anyway!
