I need advice for a wedding in Key Largo, FL

HI all.  I am looking at having a destination wedding in Key Largo February of 2013.  Can anyone recommend a good "package" vendor or afforadable resort?? I am really in need of some recommnedations and referrals.  Thank you in advance for any help.

    Welcome! I am of no help but I recommend you ask this on the Destination Weddings board too as they are super knowledgable! The board is on the left under "Wedding Theme Boards". Good luck!

    If you've never been to the keys if having a sunset wedding is a must - then choose a location on the BAYSIDE.

    Beautiful sunset locations, a little bit pricer:
    *Marriott Key Largo Bay Beach Resort - ask for Cathy Knowles
    *Hilton Key Largo

    Alternative Options:
    Bayside Grille - Ask for Andy (you might have to rent out their hotel for the ceremony/reception location
    Mile Marker 88 Restaurant
    Sundowners Restaurant
    Lighthouse Pointe - private rental home that is legitimate

    My suggestion on private homes are to find a realtor who can recommend official rental homes. Most of the rental properties are on foreclosure or short sale. I would hate for this to happen to you.

    We had contacted the Hilton key largo and they had packages available. We decided to stay closer to home so we never saw the venue in person, but there were very responsive to emails in the initial planning stages.. Good Luck!

    I'm having mine @ the Marriott Beach Bay Resort. LOVE Cathy Knowles. She's amazing. Also priced the Hilton, but was unhappy with all of the "nickel and diming" they were trying to do for every little thing. Cathy is awesome and is VERY budget friendly. She'll make suggestions on how you can cut some things, but still have an amazing wedding.
