I'm trying to find some good, current (no later than 2010) Christian music to be played at our reception (We don't want any Lady GaGa, Usher or Britney being played!!). So far we have God Gave Me You-Dave Barnes, You and Me-Lifehouse, Must have done something right-Relient K.

any suggestions? I've tried looking online but I can just find songs by Micheal W Smith, Steven Curtis Chapman, etc...we are in our early 20's and would like more current songs!

These were all within the last few years. Matthew West and Jimmy Needham both have some great songs, and I saw someone mention Brooke Fraser the other day, but I'm not familiar with a lot of her music.

There should be a sticky for wedding music. It comes up A LOT. Good thing Emily has all those in her back pocket!

We're playing secular songs, but gave the DJ specific instructions to keep it clean and tasteful. I can't stand Gaga

We also did secular songs but kept it mostly to oldies. Lots of Beach Boys, Mamas and Papas, etc. I know you didn't ask for advice, but I think sticking solely to Christian music from the past 2 years is going to be very limiting.

We did a lot of Contemporary Christian music, but the majority of our music for the reception was clean classic rock and jazz/swing. Michael Buble and such...

we aren't doing JUST Christian music, but I wanted a decent amount of it. Our reception is about 5-6 hours long so we don't need a whole lot of music anyway.

We are doing a lot of secular music but the DJ is going to mix in some Christian music as well if I provide him with a jumpdrive with that on it (he's the resort's DJ so isn't a Christian DJ and doesn't have the selection I'm looking for on that end).

Do you like Christian rap? Lecrae and Trip Lee are good if you like that. Tobymac, too! Royal Tailor is pop-ish. Also anything by Francesca Battistelli, Britt Nicole, Mandisa, etc- they are upbeat.
