HELP. Central Mass Wedding Venues!

I need help! I am looking to find a nice wedding venue that is not a country club or a generic hotel. We only have about 90 guests and about $7,000 to spend on venue. Any reccomendations??

Re: HELP. Central Mass Wedding Venues!

  • What sort of venue do you like? Rustic? Restraunt? Modern, tradtiional?

Salem Cross is very affordable, rustic and in central ma.
  • I went to a wedding at the Barn at Gibbit Hill in Groton, not sure what their pricing looks like but it was very pretty
  • Barn at gibbet hill is fairly pricey.

We're getting married here next year and it definitely doesn't have a country club feel.  Your budget should go pretty far.   All the pricing is transparent and listed on the website.
  • I have been told to look into salem cross several times and I would look at the publick house in sturbridge ma. depending on the time of year you could def do it for around 7000. It is beautiful and their package is amazing!!!
  • Another rec for Blissful Meadows.  I had my wedding there in 2009 and had a great experience.  Very affordable as well.

<div>Are you open of off season weddings, Fridays, Sundays and/or an afternoon wedding? Unless you look into a private residence or something similar to a park or state forest, such a budget could face challenges.  if you ARE open to any of the above, you could make things work! </div><div>
</div><div>Zukas seems to be popular on here and I would also look at Blissful Meadows as I think their rates are somewhat lower than some of the other central MA venues. But, BM does have the country club feel and Zukas is quite different - the view is the only thing that really makes it. Other thank that, like others have said - Publick House, Salem Cross and Sturbridge Village also come to mind - of those, my choice would be Sturbridge to work with that budget. good luck!</div>
  • If your budget is for venue plus food you would be fine at Zuka's offseason. Personally I just fell in love with the place and we looked nowhere else. But, your numbers would be slightly below their MayOct min. guests. Good luck! Not sure if anyone has mentioned Harrington Farm yet but they may be workable in your price range as well.
  • Harrington Farm is about $100 per person, I got married there two years ago. Gibbet is even higher. I had about 120 people and I think the bill was close to 12k. Try Zukas!

  • Tower Hill Botanic Gardens - really beautiful and probably in your price range.

  • Another rec. for Blissful Meadows.  I got married there last October and could not have imagned getting married anywhere else.  The prices are more than reasonable, the staff if incredible, the grounds and Chestnut Room are breathtaking and the wedding coordinators go above and beyond to make your day everything you imagine.

<div>Just another vote for Tower Hill.  I've attended and shot a couple weddings there, and it really is beautiful.</div>

  • Thanks so much for all of your input guys!
We ended up choosing apple hill farm in leominster. We had to stretch our budget a bit more than we wanted to.
