Favors

My wedding is in November. I was thinking about giving maple syrup bottles, or honey as the favors. I found a website that said the maple syrup was less than $4.00 a bottle. I thought it would be a cute idea because of Autumn, and it just makes me feel warm. Same with the honey idea. I think its a bit pricey, but  I wanted something unique as the favors. My friend is getting married in September. She made a comment that she is baking cookies as her favors. She said she hates going to weddings and getting a candle or something that just sits in the corner, and eventually gets thrown away. I really can't bake well, and think she has a point about the non-edible favors. How would you like it if you had gotten maple syrup, or honey as a favor?

I personally do not like wedding favors. I've never gotten one that I've used and I've decided against giving any.  However, maple syrup and would at least be that is used...

I am pretty sure you can find syrup for less than $4 each, depending on the size you want. I dont know if you are specifically tied to NY State syrup, but if you check Canadian sites and Vermont sites you can probably shear off a dollar.

Honey should be much less than syrup if budget is an issue.

    Other cute fall food ideas:

    Maple Syrup Candy

(available here for a little over $1 each

Mulled Wine/Cider mix packets (can be DiY-ed very affordably)
