Need Help with a Rehearsal Dinner Invite

I need help with my brother's Rehearsal Dinner invite. Our parents are divorced and our Dad is remarried. Our Mom is planning the Rehearsal Dinner with my Dad contributing financially. How do we word the "Hosted By" line? My Mom doesn't want to include my Dad's wife (bad blood.) I was thinking "Hosted By ___ Family." What do you think?

Re: Need Help with a Rehearsal Dinner Invite

  • No, this is going to be a printed invitation. Thank you!

[QUOTE]Is this one of those informal fill-in-the-blank invitations? If it is, I think your idea is fine. Generally, rehearsal dinner invitations are not all that formal.

  • I thought of that as well. I think I might suggest that. Thank you!

[QUOTE]I've never seen an invitation specifically list who was hosting. I would just skip that entirely. It comes off as showy to me. What is the rest of your wording?

I don't think I've ever gotten one that didn't. I never thought of it as being showy though ...
