    Stebbe I was thinking of doing the same thing. I'm having a hard time thinking about letting go of my last name, although I know that I for sure want to take FI's last name. I was thinking of adding my maiden name to my middle name, and having 2. Still undecided.

    Shannon and Kim, I am still stuck on what I want to do with my name...I kind of need to decide soon, huh?  LOL!  I'm thinking I might want to hyphenate, but Brian is all weird about it.  Ugh.  I don't know what to do.

    I'm so happy to hear that I wasn't alone in feeling so attached to my current last name.  I cried one day because of it (I could have been PMS but whatever lol). 

    I think  I might just make my name super long kinda like Phoebe did on friends.

    Oh, I love Friends.  My sister and I have seen every episode a minimum of 5 times and we constantly throw Friends quotes into everyday conversations.  The worst thing is when I throw in a quote from Friends and someone looks at me like WTF are you talking about....

    Although my little sister got 2 - Angelica Gabrielle.  I told my mom not to, she'll never fit it on those scantron sheets!, but she didn't listen.  Poor little sis.

    Taryn - why are boys so weird about the name change thing?  I told FI if he wants to have the same last name, he's welcome to change his.  That has ended the conversation for now, lol.

    Pretty common middle name :) There is no way i'm going to add my last name to my middle name when I get married. 1. it's 11 letters by itself, and 2. I don't like my last name. In Lansing, most everyone knows my last name for various reasons - mostly bad.

    I'm torn on the last name issue. My last name is Spears and I hate when I have to show my ID and people STILL make comments...it's so old and not funny or even remotely original to ask me if I'm related to that skank Brittany. At the same time I've had it my entire life and I feel like there will be some weird disconnect between my dad and I (my mom now has a different last name than me). I want to take on FI's last name but I might hyphenate.
