Foundation - I don't want my face "melting" off...

Hey ladies!  I am getting married this July, and fingers crossed it will be a nice hot sunny day. I am doing my own make-up and my worry is that the foundation I wear will "melt" off with sweat. Any recommendations for a good foundation? I don't have the greatest skin, so I may need to wear some sort of base as well?? Thanks for the help!!

    primer = the bomb diggety.

    I use Pur Minerals (green) primer, then apply Lancome Taint Idole foundation with a foundation brush, then set with powder and it lasts forever.  If needed, i apply concealer with a small brush after foundation but before powder.

    Yup, agree with PPs advice. You can also try a finishing spray at the end. It's especially good at removing the cakey look you can get from the powder layer. And the thinner you keep the liquid foundation, the longer it will last. HTH!

    Like PP said... Primer!  I love the Smashbox Photo Ready primer.  I'd just add in that, if you're planning to wear eye shadow (likely...) that you might want to consider using a seperate eye primer.  I really like Urban Decay's eyeshadow primer.  The formula in an eyeshadow primer is different than your all over primer and it will keep your shadow from migrating into your crease over the course of the day.

    Bare Minerals Prime Time Oil Control primer is INCREDIBLE. I've tried the other primers PP's mentioned and loved this one. It does not need to be used with bare minerals makeup - it's fantastic with liquid foundation.

    Wow! Thanks ladies! I didn't realize there was a seperate eye primer either! You've been great help! The wedding is still a ways off - but I'm going to purchase and try out some make up this weekend! :)
