March Wedding

Anyone getting married in march??? Are you going to try to sneak some outdoor pictures? How do you even plan for weather in march in wisc?? Thanks!!!

Re: March Wedding

  • We got married in April.  It snowed.  The pics turned out great.  Best advice to give you is to try not to obess over the weather.  It very well can be cold, warm, rainy, snowy, sunny, or a little of all of them.  Just try to embrace what you are given to deal with that day.  Your photographer will likely have shot in all those conditions before.  Ours brought umbrellas with and we used them in a handful of shots.  Be flexible - you might have more indoor shots than you wnated if the weather is bad.  We went outside a few times (allowed us to come inside to warm up) to get all our pics.  And we laughed so hard at the weather - you could see the fun we were having in the pictures.

  • Wisconsin weather is incredibly unpredictible no matter what month you get married in!

Most Midwest brides have dealt with rain and/or snow at least once on prom or some other "major" event in our lives!

Just have a backup plan and communicate with your photographer!

  • We're getting married in January and will hopefully get nice pics in the snow.... But if it's crazy cold out, we'll just stay inside!
