I'm Back...

Got to see Hubby for a 1.5 days and got our Kitchen stuff unpacked in the new place. However, the job interview did not go well at all, and I'd like to keep it at that. Feeling extra glummy on this rainy, cold Minnesota day.

We did have some laughs over the weekend. I borrowed an air mattress from a buddy since we haven't moved the bed yet. It deflated on me the first night- I aired it back up and it was holding air just fine... well it delfated again on H and I the second night. H was pretty hilarious he picked a fight with me in his sleep cuz he was half awake and saw I was sleeping on the floor. I tried reasoning with him that the bed was deflated (it was on a stand like the aero bed) and he got really grumpy as he moved from the bed to the floor. He then asked me in the morning what happened to the bed and why we were on the floor. LOL I love this man. :)
After that we decided it was time to make our first domestic purchase, a futon for the spare bedroom. We decided to go with the higher end (probably because our bodies were still recovering from the floor)

H and I had a very nice dinner at another AF couple's home (both H and W are Pilots, and I thought I would never see H but dang they take the cake). They have 2 dogs, and they got along great with our dog! YAH! Doggie friends haha
I was really excited to get moved, but the TMO is pretty backed up, they called me today to push the move back another week. :( I guess it doesn't matter that much because it's still before H will be there but I was hoping to have things ready to go when he got there. Now he will probably get to help unpack. YAH! haha

Anyway this thread as no real point. Just that it's nice to be back online again :)

I'm sorry about your interview :( Your air mattress story is pretty great, my Fi has definitely said things in a half-awake daze that he has to recollection of later.

Sorry about the interview, but I'm sure it wasn't the right job for you anyways.  Haha we had similar experiences with the air mattress when we moved in here, and ended up buying new mattresses until our stuff got here *we planned on buying them anyways).

And major yay!!! for finding doggie friends!  I love having friends that also have dogs for our dog to play with too.

Welcome back to the internet! Your story made me laugh too. One night when FI and I were out for a night of drinking, I slept on the couch in his room and he woke up and was so confused as to why I wasn't in bed with him. I had to explain that I wanted my own separate space haha.

Welcome back and sorry about the crappy interview. Blah.
I love moments when H is half-asleep and we have "conversations"..hysterical, and I always can't wait to tell him the next morning. Good luck with the rest of your move!

I talk in my sleep so he has some funny stories about me.

ie.  I woke him up once and yelled at him to change the laundry it was 5AM, (He came home for a short visit and I was doing all his laundry.. but finished it at 2AM apparently I was worried I wouldn't finish it in time) he said I was looking at him but he could tell I wasn't all there.

Now he usually ignores my mumbling.

I believe there is a plan for me, which leads me to believe this job wasn't a fit for my plan. Needless to say it was what I wanted, so I was pretty heartbroken. I'm getting over it though, just takes some time.

We also planned on getting a guest bed so it wasn't an extra purchase but we def. upgraded our orig plan. The sales lady was funny, when making our decision between options she asked, "Well how well do you like your guests? If you don't care get the uncomfortable, less expensive one. " :)
