I've been lurking for ~8 months, so what better thing to do since I'm off work today than to write my introduction? My FI and I met through the World of Warcraft five years ago, and have been dating for the last four years. When we first started talking, I lived/went to college in Virginia. He drove up to meet me before we actually began dating, and we've been together ever since!
FI proposed last summer, with a ring I had never expected (hope this photo upload works). He bought it with the wedding band, so I've been wearing it all together (he's afraid I'll lose the band before the wedding if I don't).
Our wedding is going to be April 28, 2013. If the weather holds up, we'll have an outdoor ceremony with an indoor reception. We already have the ceremony/reception space booked (Diamond Oaks Country Club), and our photographer (Dakota Photography). I just mailed out the deposit and contract out for our videographer (JChristopher Films), so some of the major checks are out of the way! Next up will be the DJ and possibly a DOC.
FI and I have two furbabies, both rescues. The first is Aissa (left picture), a Basenji-mix. We think she's got some Jack Russell in her, because she's hyper, super quick, and jumps like a kangaroo. We got her a buddy, Barnaby Jones (right picture) last August. He wasn't in the best shape when we got him, with demodectic mange and only weighing 36 pounds. But now he's a happy, healthy, 60 pound bundle of play!
