Bridal shoes.....help!

Hey everyone

My gown should be in any day and I don't have shoes yet for my first fitting.  (they recommended that I have them by then.)

Where have you bought your shoes for the big day?  The problem is I am tall-ish and FI is about the same height as me.  As soon as I put heels on, I'll be taller than him.  Normally I don't mind this.....but I don't want to be taller standing at the altar and in the photos.

I'd like to stay away from white/ivory shoes and go with something fun with colour.  I don't really want to wear flats.....

Does anybody have suggestions for low/small heels?  Satin would be nice but doesn't have to be.  Btw, the wedding is in December so open toe or sandals wouldn't be ideal!

I just hit all of my favourite shoe stores at the malls and shopping areas. Town Shoes, Browns, and Nine West always have a nice selection of special occasion shoes.

I ordered mine from Dessy Group.com they have really cute ballet flats in all types of different colours. They're cheap and are easy for the day.

I got mine at Winners, Maybe check out Aldo, R2W, even payless ( they usually have a variety of heel heights instead of just super-tall)

I went all out and got my shoes at Fluevog's on Queen St. Very funky, lots of colours, and good variety in heel heights... plus most importantly, very very comfy shoes! But definitely pricey, especially if you can't wait for a sale.  http://www.fluevog.com/

I plan on getting mine at David's. I think this is the only time in my life I'll have a (somewhat) legitimate reason to buy ridiculous overpriced shoes. So I'm getting Louboutin's.

Great news for tall girls, kitten heels are making a comeback this season so stores whould be full of them. They are usually about an inch high. You'll still feel like a lady, but you won't be that much taller.

That said, you don't need to bring your ACTUAL shoes to the fitting. Just pick your heel height and a similar pair. Make sure to tell them that when you go in for your fitting if you choose that route :)

    Good luck!
