I know there have been lots of Merion posts lately... so here is another.

I've posted something similar to this on the North NJ board (since that's where I live), but if you need "filler" guests to either 1) make your minimum or 2) if there are last minute cancellations..
I am totally ammenable to filling that spot! :0)

    Hahaha...I'll definitely keep that in mind.  When is your wedding? I'm loving your cake inspiration. DId you talk to Isgro yet?

    An awesome idea!  I am so afraid that I won't be able to meet the minimum.  It is so hard to determine just based on number of invites.

    I wish I could get rid of some of my guests haha! I invited about 100 over my minimum, so I should have more than enough.

    haha..  I think my cake inspiration is going to be a crushed dream.  My cousin offered to make my cake. She's really talented... but I think she is having second thoughts because she lives in Staten Island and to get a cake to S. Jersey with multiple tiers would be pretty much impossible..
    So I am thinking of a standard buttercream icing cake instead of fondant.. which is cool with me because I don't like fondant...

    :)

    I feel bad for the other S. Jersey Knotties.. Merion brides are rockin this quiet board.. Maybe we should have a G-T-G..

    Oh my Gosh I have the opposite problem!!! I am still fearful my guest list will be too many for my room!!! I saw the owner at church the other day and he reassured me the Skylight can fit 250 comfortably...he is the expert so I will trust him! He is invited so he will be able to sit and see for himself!

    MissChristine - I know!  This board is so quiet.  I'm usually on the Philly board (where I live), but I would love to see South Jersey more active.  I think a GTG sounds like a great idea!  Especially since there are so many of us...

    Sounds fun! I never knew the Merion was so popular...isn't it amazing that it looks like a plain old building outside but once you go in, its a whole different place.

    Ummm what is a GTG exactly? I assume that is short for get together? I wonder when the Merion is doing their next bridal show! I went last October and that is when we booked! We could have a GTG!

    Eh, don't feel bad.  I don't think its a take over. Those whose weddings are coming up tend to be more active and others like myself get the information they need and move on. I think I was on here alot more when we did my sister's graduation party and a baby shower at the Merion.
