Has anyone been to Barcelona before?  If so, what hotel did you stay in and did you like it?  I am really in need of hotel suggestions in the city.  There are SO many it seems like and a lt have good reveiws.  I am having a really tough time deciding.

I want to get the hotel figured out because then everything will officially be booked.  I booked flights this morning and the cruise yesterday.  Hotel is all that is left!

    Jealous!  What's your budget?  A friend rec'd Grand Hotel Central, which looks really nice with a roof-top pool and central location.

    I'm hoping to go to BCN in April; but I'm still convincing my sister (H and I are going to Europe.  My sister is living in the UK and we're going to meet her somewhere for a 4/5 day trip)

    I wouold like to keep it to around $200/night.  I am paying for it myself and doing it as a surprice to my FI, so my budget could change if I love a place.  :)

    I stayed at Catalonia Ramblas in Barcelona a few years ago, and I would highly recommend it! It was part of a tour package, so I don't know the rate of the hotel itself, but it's really a beautiful hotel close to many shops and restaurants. We also stayed just outside of Barcelona, in Callea, for a few days. I absolutely LOVED Callea!
