You mentioned that you were looking into renting folding chairs from Kirby.  Do you happen to know how much they charge per chair?  I am thinking about using their mahogany chairs and so far they are the only ones I have found that carries them.  Thanks!

    I looked into their mahogany chairs. Those are what I really wanted because I didn't want white. Well if your wedding is on a Saturday (as many are) you will be charged an additional overtime fee that IMO made their quote ridiculous so I gave up on my need for not white chairs and found a company that was inexpensive that my DOC recommended that didn't charge additional fees.
    I am using Bell Chairs and they are doing the white folding chairs (I still wish they were mahogany but I didn't have the extra money to pay fees when I wasn't even counting on having to pay for chairs in the first place) for $2 a chair.

    That is a bummer!  We really wanted chiavari chairs, but they are definitely more than we want to spend.  Our other option is chair covers with sashes, but I am really not loving that look in our venue.  Do you happen to recall about how much Kirby was?

    they quoted me:
    75)  Mahogany wood folding chairs are $3.50 each or $262.50 Set and strike 30% $78.75 Delivery $95.00 Env fee $3.20 Overtime Winter Park Farmers Market 11:00 pm $90.00 Plus tax.

    I chose Bell Chairs because the chair cost was cheaper and they didn't have all those fees. But if its in your budget do it because those mahogany chairs are really pretty. I just never even had a line for chairs in my budget so I had to find as cheap as possible.

    Those extra charges are outrageous!  I just found that Fun Factory now has them for $3.50 also.  I am going to see what their fees are.  Thanks for the info!

    No prob. Ya I just couldn't justify paying those fees. Good luck finding them!

    we rented the white (and some black) chairs from our caterer.  They use Kirby for the things they don't own.  Maybe you won't get the extra charges if you go through another vendor... Arthur's did not charge us extra for our rentals.  Just a thought...
