Venue for small reception

As a way to cut costs, I'm thinking of having a small, intimate wedding with just really close family and friends. It seems hard finding places to accommodate 75 people or less. I really want a venue in the city with a rich New Orleans feeling. I'm planning a Dec 1st wedding, so it's hard to tell what the weather will be like.

Any suggestions?

The Natchez steamboat is very budget friendly for 75 people or less and does have indoor areas to accommodate the weather.  Definitely the French Quarter / New Orleans flair without the price tag.
Whoever said it was supposed to be happily ever after is a big fat liar.

You could also do a private room at Antoines.  It's completely indoor in case the weather is chilly. They have spaces that would be perfect for 75 people.  I am having mine at the Audubon Golf Club for 80 guests. It's the perfect size.  It's more of a deep-South setting with the oak trees and Spanish moss than like a French Quarter courtyard, but New Orleans is super eclectic so it gives a New Orleans vibe too.

You might also consider the private room upstairs at the New Orleans Wax Museum.
