IPOD Reception

Hi Ladies,

We are getting married at a private house and aren't able to have a DJ (not sure if I would bother with one even if we could!).  I've seen that quite a few ladies have gone the ipod dock route for music during the reception .. couple of questions:

1) Did you bring your own or did you rent one somewhere in Maui?
2) Was the volume good enough for what you needed?
3) What brand of ipod dock did you use?  We are thinking of purchasing one and bringing it with us .. FI is the technical one but since you guys have been there done that I thought I would get some opinions.

    How big is your party? You could buy a dock or maybe rent a sound system locally. I have an old Bose dock and that thing is just AMAZING and it gets plenty loud. Pricey, but a great thing to keep after the wedding too. I also have an iHome dock and the sound quality pales in comparison. Works fine, just not breathtaking quality like the Bose.

    For about $60-$70 we're renting a speaker with the cord that connects right into the ipod. We'll be using it for the music down the aisle and then inside afterward for dancing. I'm sure you could find something similar in maui.
