I thought I remembered someone posted a link to a review of their Tahiti honeymoon here. Does anyone remember who that was and what that link was? FI and I are thinking of Tahiti and I wanted to read up and get informed.

I don't know, but my mom went last year and really liked it. Very laid back. She said there are tourist areas and the rest is 3rd world. There's not a ton to do, but if you just want to chill out and enjoy R&R, its great. And everyone's very friendly.

we took a cruise, yes. we started on the main island, and went to the smaller islands of tahiti also (incl bora bora). the ship we took no longer operates in tahiti though (we were one of the last sails), and so you're only stuck with a major crusie ship (the paul gaugin), instead of the small one we took (if you're looking into a crusie that is).

Thanks for the link! I think you might've just gotten back and posted the link when I first started reading the boards, but I was scouring people's signatures to find the person and the link.

and yes, I was interested in Chinese customs, I'll take a look at both.
