  Waterside was one of my favorite venues. The night we went to see it there was a bridal show going on so we did get to taste some of the food - just some passed appetizers and pasta and it was pretty good. The catering manager said they were going to do some more upgrades to the rooms - I thought they were already great.

  It has a gorgeous view of the NYC skyline and they just put in new chandeliers and colored lighting that can be changed from whatever color you want (amber, pink, blue). There is also an outside patio where guests can hang out to enjoy the view.  But since the outside space is not a balcony, guests would have to leave the main reception space, go down a flight of stairs, and walk down a stone path to actually get to the patio area so it makes it a bit inconvenient.  The things we did not like about that venue was the restaurant was confusing to get to because it was located farther back from where the initial entrance is.  That was not really a big deal, but the overall atmosphere of the restaurant reminded me too much of a typical banquet hall, which is what we were trying to avoid. I also heard about some guests getting food poisoning from the raw seafood buffet that they have as part of their wedding menu.  Lastly, the event coordinator there was a little pushy and reminded me of a used car salesman!  However, I heard his sister who is the other event coordinator there is much more easy going and better to work with. I would suggest checking out the Chart House down the road as well if you are interested in getting a seafood restaurant venue with a view.
