  I would suggest looking at small towns that are about 30-45 minutes away from Columbus.  People in these areas will have much lower costs.  I have contacts for a florist and fantastic baker but they are 1.5 hours away so I'm not sure that would help you unless someone can pick them up for you.
  
  Also, this may sound silly but could you make your own?  There are lots of DIY tutorials for flower arrangements.  You can also have a close friend or family member make cupcakes, they are easy to decorate with a swirl top.

  I appreciate it, but I've already found my venue, and reception site. I'm really trying to stay local, and I don't think I have anybody that can drive 1.5 hours for the cake or flowers. Thank you though!

  I would recommend Anita Kline (abcj@gmail.com).  She is doing our cake (5 tiers for about 180 people) for less than $600 so I imagine it would be doable for your budget.  She is located in Dublin and her cakes are fantastic!
  
  We are using Flowers on Springtree Lane (Westerville).  Robin and Anne are awesome and I think they are very reasonably priced for what we are asking for.  I'd at least give them a call/email requesting an estimate.  info@flowersonspringtreelane.com

  I am using Alice's piece of cake in powell she delivers... four 155 guest we are a little over 500 with fillings and three different flavors.

  You could also look into Flowerman and DIY it

  I looked into Alice's Piece Of Cake, and she wanted $300 for a cake that serves 78 people. Does anybody have any recommendations for places to get cupcakes? Would they be cheaper?

  I would look into Enticing Icings. She is super cheap. Basic buttercream is $2.95 a slice. We are just doing plain buttercream iced in a pretty way for 100 people or so. It's about $320 after the $25 delivery fee.

  We used Anita Kline for our wedding and it cost us abou5 $350 to serve 125 people and her cake is delicious! We did white, chocolate, and red velvet also. For cake flowers, I recommend the Flowerman. You literally pick out the flowers you want, you pick them up and drop them off for Anita to work her magic with.

  We are looking at using cupcake too. The suisse shop in polaris quoted us $3/piece, which I think is too expensive. Try cupcake yumyum their price is reasonable, i think it's $1.75 for minimum purchase of 200, they have mini cupcake too.

  Have you checked out Giant Eagle? My mom got her cake there and it was fantastic, and cheaper than your average. They make them in the shop and can be really pretty. 

  
  

  Another option- would you be opposed to making cupcakes yourself and getting a small cake for cutting from one of the bakeries you've looked at? It's not very hard to make a large number of cupcakes, my grandmother made about 200 in one evening for my gradution party and my brother and his friends decorated them. (I was at a function and I got home- Bam! Cupcakes!). 

  
  

  If you want to do flowers yourself, I've heard great things around here about Costco flowers. They're cheap and really nice aparently. I've gotten flowers from Flowerama on Morse Road and been very happy with them but don't remember the cost, it might be worth checking out. Also, if it's not too out of the way, my best friend did her flowers at Buehler's Grocery in Delaware. They were incredibly nice and again, not very expensive. 

  
  

  If flower costs are getting out of control, you might be able to do really pretty arrangements with cheaper flowers. I've been seeing georgous all carnation or all baby's breath arrangements that have a really full and romantic feeling, so it's an option to look into.

  Thank you guys for the suggestions! I think I am just going to do the flowers by myself, and order them in bulk through Sam's Club. ($125 for everything!) As far as the cake goes, I guess since I'm doing a smaller wedding, I could make the cupcakes, and get a smaller cake for cutting. Thanks for everything!

  If you need help with decorating the cupcakes, they are easy to do with a piping bag and a decorative tip from any of the local craft stores.

  I'm considering using The Cake Lady in Circleville. She starts at $2.25 a serving, with the option to use sheet cakes at around $0.50 a serving.
  I have my tasting with her on Sunday (the only down side to going with someone outside of Columbus is having to drive 40 minutes one way for a tasting), but she has really good reviews and she's been very responsive and good at communicating with me. She also offers free delivery within 25 miles of Circleville with $1 per mile past that- according to google maps we're at about 29 miles, so I'll gladly pay the extra $4 for delivery and setup!

  We are using Bess' Cakery in Westerville. She works from home and we already had our tasting and signed the contract. It is an all inclusive flat rate of $3.25/person and this includes delivery within franklin county and setup. You can choose a different flavor and filling for every tier at no extra charge and the only thing she may charge extra for are cakes with an overwhelming amount of scroll design on them. We liked her. We are also renting a silver cake stand from her for $25 so its going to be about $315 with everything. We only had to put down a $50 deposit and that goes toward our final bill.
