Congrats. I know your very excited, as I would be too, but you may offend some people with the last line. Lots of people love their gemstone, mossy, asha, and CZ rings and don't want diamonds.

• Some people also have ethical objections to diamonds. I get where you're coming from and I'm sure that statement was made in excitement but just a heads up.
• I LOVE my sapphire E ring. I didn't want a diamond for the main stone.

So I guess this girl.

• Congrats!!! It's just a statement I don't think she really meant it that way.

[QUOTE]In Response to Re: finally a diamond : This. I'm really happy for you and I can't wait to see photos, but not all women are diamond crazy and implying so can definitiely come across the wrong way. For the record, the only real diamond I own is my E-ring and that's because it was important to H for it to be a "real" stone of whatever type I wanted. Every bit of the rest of my jewelry is lab created (some very high end, some cheap costume jewelry) and I wouldn't trade it in for the "real" stuff if you paid me.

THIS! The stones in my e-ring are lab created. I did not want a mined diamond because of my social and political objections. As a side note, I was a little stunned that a lab created diamond isn't much cheaper than a mined stone though! I expected it to be super duper cheap!
• I'm pretty into my aquamarine. Glad you have a ring that makes you smile.

[QUOTE]OP said over a CZ and CZs get cloudy over time and don't last as long so I can get how most people want a diamond over a CZ - she was making a general statement. CZs don't include gemstones, mined or lab created - just wanted to point that out. I love my garnet ring and glad you have a gem you love OP!

• wow i cant say anything about a damn thing on here without getting jumped. i dont have anything againt CZ or other stones, most of my jewelery is lab created i was just super excited.
• I was totally kidding. SOme of these people are ridiculous! Be excited about your diamond! Most girls would be excited over a dimaond rather than a CZ!

• If someone gets offended over the words "what girl doesnt want a diamond over a cz" maybe they are the one in high school and need to grow up. All some of you do is worry about who is going to be offended and what words might offend someone. Blah get over yourselves!

It is insulting to people who have and love their CZ. I love my diamonds, but if my fiance had purchased a CZ ring, it would have been just as meaningful. Saying that CZ is less desirable than a diamond is like saying a JOP wedding is less desirable to a church wedding, and that's just not true. Different strokes for different folks, and saying things that are disparaging is not cool at all.

• I am just saying if people get insulted over something so small they made need reevaluate what's important in life.

Maybe it's not as small to them as it is to you.

• Well then I would call them shallow.

I do not think that means what you think that means.

• Look this girl was talking about how she personally was excited about having a diamond over a CZ. If you people can't read between the lines then I dont know what to tell you. If someone takes it personally or is offended that she is excited about a dimaond over a CZ then I am going to go with thats your problem.
• Quick, somebody mention being a little OCD and watch the world explode!
