Ceremony Music: outdoor wedding

My wedding is this October and it's outdoors. I really want to surprise the guests and have someone live to play the ceremony music. Nothing spectacular; just the traditional wedding type music. One person would even be fine with the right instrument.

Does anyone know of any suggestions? I really don't want to result to using an Ipod and dock.

Thanks,
Heather

I strongly recommend Steel Drum Flavor. I met Nigel last year at one of my friend’s wedding at the Piper Palm in Tower Grove. You can check out his website:

He will be playing at our ceremony and cocktail hour this Saturday. I hope he is available.

Is it expensive to book him?

    Thank you.

His price may be over the typical ceremony musicians, but not too pricey. You can call or email him. His name is Nigel. He usually is fast in replying to our request. You can tell him Sue referred you.

PS You can see he is willing to do both ceremony and cocktail hour. He plays some great classical and contemporary music.

We had Serenade Strings for our outdoor wedding:  a cello and guitar duo.  My husband and I really liked it because it was different from the violin and cello duo.   It was beautiful.  I also thought that they were very reasonably priced.  You can check them out at www.serenadestrings.com. Ranya is very easy to work with.  Good luck!
