Where to get....?

Hi! I am wondering where you all found your wedding day shoes, viel, jewelry? I'm stumped and not impressed by the bridal shop options. Thanks in advance :)

Got my shoes at DSW, Jewelry I got at different places (earrings from DB, necklace I'm ordering from a company my work gets stuff from, and bracelet I ordered from my friend's jewelry party). I got my veil for $30 from a Brides Against Breast Cancer event,

I'm sure you've noticed that anything with the words 'wedding' and/or 'bridal' in the title automatically jacks up the price-I too am not a fan of all of the typical bridal stuff. Just because you get things from a non-bridal shop doesn't make it any less wedding-y.

I just went to the mall today and found my jewelry at Claires, Gordman's and JC Penney. Claire's actually has some really cute stuff for cheap. I also got a hair barette there as well. As for shoes, I got mine on 6pm.com for $36! My veil I got at my bridal shop but it's now closed.

    Good Luck!

I got my veil from a seller off the classifieds board. Total w/shipping, was 30.00. Shoes I got from DSW on clearance for 9.00 (favorite buy thus far) and jewelry, I am planning on purchasing mine as well as my bridesmaids from www.milanoo.com. I originally bought my jewelry set from Claries, but this website has much better options. I also got my tiara off of ebay for 17.99 (incl shipping) and I couldn't be happier.

I got my shoes from shoebuy.com, jewelry from Macy's, and veil online from Occansey Designs. You can basically custom make your veil for a very reasonable price.

I plan on getting my shoes from DSW just have to fine the perfect pair :)  The veil we are getting made using my moms veil and lace from her dress and I hand made my wedding jewelry.  I know I'm not much help for recs, but if I were you I would look into making your jewlery for sure! It's fun and is a nice touch to be able to say you made it yourself.

Jewelry was a gift from DH and came from the jewelers.
Veil was from a bridal salon
    Shoes were from www.sketchers.com!

I did buy the jewelry for my Bridesmaids on sale at Macy's though and I thought they had a good selection.

Shoes from Ebay, Payless and Famous Footwear (I changed shoes throughout the day... progressively lower heels!)

Jewelery was a combination of bead store DIY (my sister made my bracelet and bridesmaid earrings) and Forever 21!  Forever 21 has fantastic-looking jewelery and is super reasonable.  I highly recommend checking out their huge store at Rosedale Mall!

Shoes -- David's Bridal when I bought my dress (though I wish I'd waited and gotten some fun, brightly colored ones that I'd wear again)
    Jewelry -- Hopkins Antique Mall
Veil -- my cousin made it for about $3 in materials from Michael's

I got my shoes, earrings, and bracelet from Dayton's.  My necklace came from an Etsy seller.  Technically, it came from a bridal jewelry seller, but it could go either way.  I didn't wear a veil, but I got my hair feather flower from the same place I bought my dress.  I tried to find something I liked as much on Etsy, but I just couldn't.

For those things I intend to use again, I stayed away from "bridal."  Like SSaltzman said, just because it doesn't say "bridal" on it, doesn't mean that you can't use it that way.  It's just an arbitrary label given to mark things up.

Thanks, ladies! Just bought two amazing pairs of shoes today from DSW at the Knollwood mall. Both on the clearance rack, about $39 each. Very cute! Thank you for all of your recommendations!
