Opinions on my favors

I'm having a pretty country wedding and we are thinking that for our favors we will have personalized koozies for beer or soda. We're having almost a "beer bar" in the refreshments area...lots of different kinds of beer to pick from. Since we're in the South and warm beer is never good, we thought the koozies would be cute, simple, and practical. For those who don't drink beer, you can always use them for a bottle of water, soda, etc. Also, I want to get some of those little wedding bubbles and wrap them in tulle for everyone. What do ya'll think about these favors?

Personally, NMS.  But if that's what you want, go with it!

That is a VERY popular idea in the area I live in, its done all the time.  We are opting not to do it because so many people do around here. If you are having a "beer bar" I think it would be appropriate especially if thats what your guests are into.   And for the bubbles, that sounds ok too :)

nms either.  koozies sounds college frat party to me rather than wedding.

ETA:  The bubbles wouldn't be a favor for your guests.  They're for use in your wedding.
"Trix, it's what they/our parents wanted. Why so judgemental? And why is your wedding date over a year and a half ago? And why do you not have a groom's name? And why have you posted over 12,000 posts? And why do you always say mean things to brides?" palegirl146

I think the koozies sound really cute.  I'm not such a fan of the bubbles, but if you like them go for it!

You know your friends and family better than we do.  Is this something they are likely to use?  I'd leave it, myself, because it's just something I would never use.  I can't even remember the last time I drank anything out of a can.

I have to be honest, the only time I've ever seen these up close and in person is at a truck stop if we have to make an unscheduled stop on a car trip and they generally have very...stereotypical "sayings" on them, such as "Git 'er done," or "Gone Fishin'," or perhaps have the face of a Nascar driver.  That's the image such a thing conjures for me, so I have  a hard time picturing them as cute guest favors.

As a guest, I would rather have something edible. I never use the koosie, picture frame, mug etc. and I generally leave it on the table.

I think it's an awesome idea, especially since it's the whole country and beer thing!  I would love it!  I don't do beer, but we even put our cups w/mixed drinks in them lol.  I'm into the whole bar accessories and stuff.   It wouldn't matter to me that it had your names, etc. on it...because we came to the wedding for a reason and it's nice to remember it.

The bubbles are ok, but maybe I would do something edible in place of the bubbles wrapped in tulle.

Let me reiterate the fact that I think koozies (I call them huggies :P) are awesome!

Thanks ya'll for the comments! The reason I picked koozies was because 1.) I've only seen it done once and the bride was someone I went to high school with but not one of my close friends. And 2.) my friends are all fresh out of college and most of them are still in the "college frat party" type of mind, especially at weddings. Plans have changed a bit, however, with our venue so the whole beer bar may not be happening after all. Instead we are having an open bar (included in the package price, thank God). So we might be nixing the whole koozie idea in the end. :)

As for bubbles...ya'll are right. I didn't even think about them not being a favor but as just something to be used at the wedding. I never take them home myself...

    Thanks for the comments again!

I don't know your friends, but in my experience a lot of my fresh out of college friends have grown away from this mentality. Also, that's great that you're thinking about your friends, but what about your family members? If you were still set on this favor, maybe give it away for your bachelorette or bridal shower?
