In 9 days, I'm leaving for a mission trip with the campus group I'm apart of here at school. We're going to another university to talk to students there and help the same campus group on their campus.
Couple of different things...
I'm freaking out, plain and simple. We're leaving in 9 days and it doesn't even feel real yet. I have two exams and two papers due before I leave and so I haven't really been able to dedicate a lot of thought to the trip. I mean, we've been having planning meetings, but it's been really easy to just walk out of the meeting and put it in the back of my mind.
I've also been sick lately. I have a lot of different health issues that work together to make me miserable a lot of the time, but since December I've been dealing with some weird intestinal issues and they've re-surfaced and become much worse in the last week or so. I did spend all day Friday (last week) in the Student Health Center having tests run, trying to figure out what's going on. And no one has any idea what's going on. I've dealt with being ill on mission trips before and it's never really gone well. I don't want to drag my team down and I don't want to be a burden. I also want to be used by God. I realize that isn't in my control and God will use me in spite of whatever is going on as long as I let Him, but I'm still freaking out about it.
And the last thing...a lot of us on the team are having trouble raising our support. We aren't going very far and so the trip doesn't cost too much, but I got an email on Wednesday saying I have less than half my support raised. And with 9 days to go, I'm having trouble staying optimistic about it and trusting God. I don't know what happens if I don't get it all raised before we leave, and honestly, I don't want to know.
So if you could pray for all that, I'd really appreciate it.
