Hi!
i've been posting to a few of the other boards, but figured that I should say hi here, with other August brides.
We're planning an outdoors wedding at a family member's cottage on the lake, with a dinner and dance reception, complete with a bonfire. I'd have fireworks too, but one of the dogs is terrified, and gets really destructive when they happen - oh well ...
The engagement and setting a date came quickly - we just bought a house this spring and he said that he didn't want to get married, but then ... he did!
There are no dress stores here, so finding something to wear will be an issue for me.
This is my second wedding, and his first. I have two kids and he treats them like his own. My DD lives with us but DS lives with his dad (which breaks my heart, but it's what he wants).
We are both teachers and are doing most of the wedding 'stuff' ourselves.
