Have you gotten ideas from Pinterest that you'll actually use?

Color-Matching, Save-The-Date ideas, Style Selections -- There seem to be an unlimited number of ideas available there.

Has anyone else used Pinterest to actually find something that they are going to use, as opposed to just window shopping?

Are there other sources where one might locate vendors that can supply brides with the goods seen in these pictures? On pinterest, there seems to be just pictures and you don't have any idea of where to get these things!

Or maybe I'm not aware of everything that is on the site? What do you know about it?

You can get to the source by clicking on the pic or sometimes the links are listed below the pic. (and this is prob. too obvious) For example the link for this bracelet is listed below the pic. http://pinterest.com/pin/164029611397879783/

I think its hit or miss. I would just try to click on the pics or look for a link below the pic and see if it takes you there.

  • YES!!! Only to get ideas if I need a push to get my ideas flowing (I dont follow other peoples wedding ideas to a "T" out of respect for the happy couples) If you see something you like at the top of the photo(after you click on it) There should be a website and a lot of the time it will lead you to a general location to purchase it or at least give you the name of the object so you can find it by doing a little research through google. A little elbow grease doesnt hurt when it comes to making your wedding day perfect! Hope this helps
  • I don't frequent pintrest as much as I do stylemepretty.com. There are a lot of good ideas on that site, as well. I've found one idea for escort cards that I'm going to do for sure.
  • I have gotten a ton of ideas from Pinterest that I am using. Most of them are DIY projects. If you click the picture to go to a page only showing that picture and then click the picture again it will take you to the website the pinner got it from. For DIY projects that site may have instructions and information on where to buy the supplies. For products a lot of times it is linked to the website you can buy the products from.

The only time you can't link to a website is when the photo was uploaded by the pinner themselves. If this is the case it usually says so to the upper right of the picture.

Hope this helps!!! I think Pinterest is a wonderful source for ideas!
