OK....so I wanted to do something to improve my overall skin tone for the wedding. I was wondering what spa treatments you all have gotten, what your experiences have been, whether you noticed a difference, etc. etc. Facials, wraps, lay it all on me because I've never had anything done much past having my eyebrows waxed!
Re: Beauty Regimen???
[QUOTE]The last facial I had was about a year ago and while it felt great to be pampered, it didn't do much to my skin. It was just a basic deep cleaning and I could've done that at home. I haven't tried microdermabrasion or anything yet since it can be pricey. For my at-home beauty regimen, I use Dermalogica products and it's made such a huge difference in my skin. I have dry skin so I use products that are specifically for that. I do a double cleanse starting with the Precleanse, which is good for all skin types and it takes everything off of your face, including waterproof mascara. Then I follow with the Daily Microfoliant, which is also for all skin types, and it's the best daily scrub ever! Then I follow that with the recommended cleanser and moisturizer. Their products are amazing!

I had a similar facial experience -- felt amazing and was super relaxing, but I didn't notice a huge difference in the days afterwards. I've been looking for everyday products that won't dry out my skin -- I've always just used soad and water in the shower and plain water otherwise to wash my face b/c that has had the least liklihood of me breaking out afterwards. However, I feel like I need to step my game up and try some products! Kiyamurph -- do you mind if I ask where I can find the Dermalogica ones you recommended? Thanks!
I've also had facials before like PPs and noticed a difference right after, but it didn't last very long.

</div><div>Before switching to Dermalogica products, I went to their website (<a href="http://www.dermalogica.com" title="derm">dermalogica.com</a>) to look at all of their products first. I mostly zeroed in on products for dry skin and the good thing about their website is they have honest feedback from customers. Then after having an idea of what I wanted, I looked up the store locator to see what salons sold it and visited them to get samples. Any salon that sells Dermalogica will have tons of samples and that was definitely the best way to find out what I liked and didn't like. Also, an authorized retailer will do what Dermalogica calls Face Mapping. It's a free service and it'll let you know the condition of your skin and then they'll recommend what products you should use. </div><div>
</div><div>I never buy straight from the salon because there's a website called <a href="http://www.blushbeautystore.com" title="blush">blushbeautystore.com</a> that sells Dermalogica for much cheaper. I've visited the actual salon in Cleveland (it has a different name though), so you know that the products are coming from an authorized retailer and not some random place. The products are always about $8-$10 cheaper than the store price and you can always get an extra 10% off using a code on their website when you checkout. Their products are a bit pricey, but a little goes a long long way. I bought the cleanser that I use a year ago and I literally just now replaced it. </div><div>Let me know if you have any other questions. I LOVE their stuff!
