This. As soon as I saw the picture, I RAWRed to myself.
Ugh. If my friend showed me that as her BM dress, I'd laugh and tell her she was being silly. And hopefully, she won't admit she was serious and move on.
I would laugh and hope she was joking, I would gently try to talk her out of it. Then if she really was serious, I guess I would suck it up and wear it. I've worn my share of crappy BM dresses.
I guess I'm a pushover but I'd do it. I mean, hopefully, she would have said something like "I was thinking of incorporating some crazy safari pattterns into the wedding attire, what do you think?" and eased slowly into showing me that dress. But then again, this is all a hypothetical because I don't think anyone who would ask me to be a bridesmaid has taste that bad.

Oh yeah, I would most likely also be intoxicated as I walked down the aisle if that matters to her.
I went and read the post and like the idea of leopard sashes. A little bit of flair without going crazy.

I just posted over there. I said that it reminds me of these pictures from FBIL/FSIL's wedding--she made FI wear a bright orange polo shirt as best man and he HATED it. He's not into bright colors and felt like a pumpkin. In all the pictures, he's grimacing and slouching and self conscious because he was so out of his element. It's really obvious. I don't understand why you'd intentionally put your BP in something that will make them stabby faces in your pictures.

I'd do my damned-nest to try to talk her out of it. If not, I'd just try to rock the shiit out of it. I'd stick a Pebbles bone in my hair and be done with it.
I seriously find it difficult to believe that someone would actually choose that for their BM dresses.
if that was the dress that my friend really wanted me to wear I would do it for her. It would not be my taste or preference, but i'd do it for her because its her day!
I would tell her that it will look bad on me (and my body shape) which will make her pictures look bad. Maybe that would be enough to make her pick a different dress...

Oh god no. Maybe if she paid for it, but I'm sorry, I don't think I could wear that. I'd prefer an 80s prom gown over that, actually. At least then in pics people would ask what bridezilla asked you to wear that. I'm afraid in pics of that people would assume I picked it, as it doesn't look anything like a BM dress.
Re: WWYD if
I would probably wear it. I'd be annoyed and embarrassed, but I'd do it for any of my friends.

What's sad is that it's a nice cut of a dress. Just a bat sh!t ugly print.
The fact that it comes in S, M and L sizing doesn't bode well for boob coverage.

It would also clash with any bouquet put with it. And you do coordinate with the groomsmen?? It's just so silly.

I can't find the portrait shots I saw before, but you can see the dresses here- basically the same thing.
Obviously the BM's thought it was amusing, too:
