Hairstyle for this wonderful dress

Hello to you all

I found my wedding dress and it was love at first sight. Its is this wonder of lace:

But I cannot think of a hairstyle other than the one of the model or anything similar very formal. I have long wavy hair and I have been growing it out for a long time - not only but especially for my wedding. But this dress is so overwhelming that I cannot think of letting my hair down or to the side or even a simple updo since there cannot be any other pattern created next to the one of the dress.

A friend pointed out that also my hair would have to much waves and that I would need straight hair for this dress.

Maybe you can help. I really want this dress. But I also love hair

I think waves would look gorgeous with the dress, the dress itself is very romantic looking, as PP said, to show off the back, I would put your hair up somehow.

With this dress I would most definitely wear you hair up to show off that amazing back. As far as the models hair, I think you can do something much more exciting then that. And I agree the waves would be beautiful.

I think your hair up is the best bet, but your friend is dead wrong about needing to straighten it. I also think that you can have a small pattern in your hair against the dress because it won't be as noticeable as you think.

Thank you so much for all the pictures and ideas! I think you might be right and I decided to buy the dress anyway.. you just cant stop love like that

I might wanna try both, having my hair down and up and see what it is like. But its a lot more comforting to know that people think I can wear it both ways

Any ideas in terms of a veil? Maybe a small one? I think I would love my future husband to unveil me before our first kiss as husband and wife

I think for a veil, you could do a short one, but I'd try on some, including a long, cathedral length veil, one that is pretty sheer. I almost think you want one that goes past the end of the peep hole because you don't want to cut it in half and I think a short one wouldn't match the style.

I am so happy you mention that! I was thinking about a really long (to the floor) sheer one. Maybe that really is a great idea. As soon as I have my wedding dress I will try one on!

that is a gorgeous dress! and such a reasonable price!!! wow. but, that is NOT why you posted. I am in agreement with some of the folks who posted about some showing off the back of that dress - would be a shame not to show that off!
