BM dresses came in the WRONG color * vent*

i just had to vent to my fellow knotties.  
we ordered the BM dresses the end of march in order to have them in time for alteration for my august 18 wedding.  we were told they came in last thurs.  i went to pick one of the dresses up for one of my BMs and saw that all 4 dresses came in the wrong color.
i had the swatch (thank god) from the store with me and showed it to the owner, otherwise, she would think it was my fault.  i am not sure if i should be mad at the store or nervous that we might not have the dresses in time for the big day, i'm a bit of both right now.  
as of today, the store owner told me that the manufacture (Mori Lee) is making and will send new dresses with the correct colors by July.  I'm hoping that they get here in time for alteration and we better not have to pay for anything!!!!

  • Don't worry!  They will be there in time!  You can pay more to have a "rush order" most places and since it was the store's or manufacturer's mistake, you won't pay that extra, but they can still rush it.

    I ordered from an online vendor and ordered ties to match the BM dresses.  Two came in with spots and I returned them thinking it would take another 8 weeks, but I had them in about 2.  Things will work out - don't worry!

  • This happened to me too, only with some Dessy/After Six dresses. The replacement dresses came within 3 weeks and I did not have to pay a rush fee (it was their mistake). It was smart of you to bring your swatch when you picked it up. Probably saved you a ton of headache with fighting with the store like I had to. Good luck! I'm sure everything will turn out fine.
  • I had this happen to me except it was a size ordered wrong.  I am still waiting.  Shop told me that it will be in the 1st week of August so of course I am in panic mode, but they all came in early so I am hoping the reorder will too.  Best of luck to you.  I hope all goes well.

  • I would be calling the store EVERY day asking for an update on the progress of the dresses. That is so horrible. I am so sorry.

  • Oh no! :(  Im sure they can get them in quick, especially with it being their fault, they should put a rush on it! I ordered mine just last Sunday and the website said it would be here by 6/30..so that leaves time for alterations
