When/Where are you guys registering?

I'm thinking right after the holidays...prob like Feb/March ish.

We are gonna do C&B, Macy's and either BBB or the Container Store! I really wanted to do William Sonoma but their stuff is SO pricey

We already have one at crate and barrel and one at macys. Just small ones with a couple of things on them. We will update them and add all the rest of the stuff around march.

Oooo the container store! i didn't think of that one!

I've been working on registries for both Amazon and Macy's, but am leaving them as private and unsearchable until I'm ready to roll them out in January when I give the info for our website. I'll also set one up at either BBB or the Container Store, haven't decided which yet.

My FMIL is already on us about registering, but I honestly can't think about it until after the holidays. We are going to do C&B and probably BBB (mostly because most of FI's family is from a small town without a lot of the other standard stores). We're also thinking about doing something online where we can put things from multiple places... FI really wants to register for a grill and an Apple TV. Hah!

We haven't decided but after thinking about it I'm not sure if we will register since we already live together. If we do it wouldnt be much being as we already have most of what we need.

We built our house last year and bought everything new but there is always stuff to register for! More sheets, good towels, good set of pots/pans, good vaccum, organizational items, china ect...

True !! These are the things we would put if we do one. But as I previously posted we are doing the money tree , so I think we will do both in case someone prefers to give us a gift instead of money.

We have already registered at Bed bath and beyond. And we haven't told anyone yet but people have already started buying gifts and we have recieved a few as thank you's for helping them do something! We also registered at Target!

We're going to have a small registry for things that need an update probably at BBB and we're going to be those klassy people who have a HM registry. We will not be having an option that will take a fee out. Both will be small registries. I don't believe in upgrading just because you can and the HM one will only be for a few extras that we wouldn't do otherwise. We will be sending pictures of us in our thank you cards as "proof" that we actually used the money towards what they bought us. Although the fact that anyone would even think to lie to their guests about where the money went is super weird to me. As to when probably Feb/March as well. My mom wants to have the shower in June because the rest of our summer will be insane.

We are doing Kohls and either BBB or Target. I was thinking in Jan./Feb, right before or STDs go out. I really want to already, but don't want to worry about things being discontinued after the holidays.

We went this past weekend with the thought of opening a small registry at Pier 1...they don't have registries. So we went to Bed, Bath and Beyond and the woman told us we could but encouraged us to wait until March. So we will do it then. I think we will also have one at Macy's and an online one at Williams Sonoma or Pottery Barn.

We're going to do ours at BBB, Target, and I'll probably let my close friends and family know I have an Amazon wishlist. We're waiting until after the holidays because a lot of things I would register are also things I want for Christmas lol.

I'm hoping to do it in December. FI has 2 weeks off, so I'll have his undivided attention. And then maybe a few weekends after the new year. My goal is to have the registry done before the STDs go out.

I want to do an online registry (like MyRegistry.com), but I haven't really looked into it. My goal is to have some online location that lists the things we need, so people can figure out what the cheapest option would be for them. That being said, we might also do store registry like BBB, Target, and Macy's.

I am not sure when we are registering... some people have suggested we do it before the holidays so that we can get gifts as holiday presents too but I am not sure.... especially since right now we will have no where to keep the stuff - so thinking after the first of the year for us...

Update: forgot to include where i am thinking BBB and target - definately BBB though - not sure on the second place until I really start looking for what we want.

just realized most of you are sending STD after the first of the year... I am sending mine by the end of October - at latest first week of Nov. Everyone has been driving me crazy asking when the wedding is - so I am sending them so they stop bugging me

Plus 95% of the guest list is out of town - so they will have plenty of time to get rooms reserved and airfare

Just remember if you do it to early things could be out of season, changed and what not. Happened to me at my first wedding and I got things I did not really want because they couldn't find what I had registered for.

We're going to do BBB and Macys. I think we'll probably do a small registry in January and then actually complete it in March-ish. We're not sending our STDs until January. Most of my family already knows when the wedding is going to be by FIs family has to travel and the word doesn't spread as fast on that side.

I'm thinking BBB and somewhere else - maybe Amazon, maybe Kohl's. We are both older and living together, but there are a lot of things we really could stand to update. Target has such an awful return/exchange policy, I wouldn't want to inflict that on my guests or myself.
