Beware brides!!

When we started looking at transportation there was one place that I kept hearing about Aztec limo over and over again.  So I contacted them and left a message.  Then another and another and sent (not kidding) 15 e-mails to them (over the course of a month and a half).  I would have given up then, but the price they quoted on line was much cheaper than any other place.  Once I finally made the reservation on line I was told to call to confirm.  When I did, they didn't have any of my information.  NOTHING.  So I had to go through the whole thing all over again.

I should also state that it is very hard for me to take time to make phone calls at work.  Most everything i do is over e-mail and I have stressed this with venders.  The limo company said no big deal.   It takes less than 5 minutes to confirm.  Well the confirming call turned out to be a scheduling call and took 30 minutes.  And I was quoted the price of $360.

When I got the confirmation e-mail concerning the booking, the dates, time and locations were all messed up and it showed my card being charged over $500!  So I called them back and they said, "Well there's fees for this and this"  It took six more e-mails and phone calls before they changed the reservation information (which, by the way, STILL isn't correct.)

So I started looking for more transportation and found some for even cheaper and scheduled it (Person to Person and they got it ALL right the first time. . .imagine that).  I called and e-mailed Aztec SEVEN times trying to cancel before I got an e-mail this morning that said "Cancelled.  $300 cancelling fee."

ARE YOU F*&KING KIDDING ME?  I went through all my e-mails and on line and there is no mention of a cancellation policy, so I e-mailed them this information as well as ALL of the e-mails I have sent them concerning this reservation (over 55!) telling them in NO way was I paying this and they could expect me in their office on my lunch break where I would give them my card and they would immediately refund me all of my money.

I am so PO right now, so please be cationed.  I know every place is different and every one has different experience but I really think this is ridiculous.

Call your credit card company and explain the situation to them.  Since the fee wasn't detailed or explained to you in advance, they may consider it fraud and credit the money back to you anyway.

I know!  I heard such great things about them and everyone reccomended them, so I kept giving them the benefit of the doubt, but this has been awful.  Yesterday I went down there armed with my e-mails and the contract and they tried to tell me my FI called them and confirmed times, etc, so if the times were wrong it was his fault.

I said "My FI has had the same three things on his "to do" list since we got engaged in November.  There is absolutely no way he went out on his own to call you and confirm times when he hasn't even touched that list."

After an hour I had to leave and they said they would call me, but surprise, surprise. . .no phone call more than 24 hours later.  This weekend my dad is going in with me.  He's a seven foot tall scary man.

i ended up not using a limo company because we decided to do old cars which we get free since my grandparents and their friends all have old vehicles.  But I had problems with Aztec giving me different prices when I called.  They also said that they didn't offer a military discount and online it says they do.  I did leave many messages and did not ever get a call back.  I had heard good reviews about them and that happened to me and now this to you.

I was just at a wedding and Missy Valet was there to do valet service for all of the guests.  They had a driver for the bride and groom to take them to downtown after the reception as well.  They were great, nice and polite, and when we left after 12, they were still there.  I know that bride had great communication with them and would highly recommend them.  The owner's name is Missy and her number is 502-649-1964.  Tell her Emily from Star's wedding sent you.

Just as an update:  They STILL haven't refunded my card a penny.  I have called every day and every day they claim "Fred will call you by the end of the day."  And then nothing.  I have an e-mail dated 5/25/10 that shows my order being cancelled, but NOTHING has been refunded.

Finally I got an e-mail from Fred that said "I heard you were interested in a limo for your wedding.  Here's our wedding promotions:"  (Which again listed the price I originally thought I was going to pay and said NOTHING about the extra fees, etc.

I am going to file a complaint with the better business bureau.

Seriously - call your credit card company and report the fraud.  Keep a record of all your calls to the limo place.  When you call them tomorrow, I'd tell them they have 24 hours or you're reporting it to the CC fraud group.

I would also call Lemme do it in the courier Journal. They'd be salavating to help you get your money back. Wasn't there just a story on the news about this company???

I have no idea.  I did call the credit card company and am beginning the paperwork.  I also called TroubleShooter at Wave 3.  I'll probably try Lemme Do It as well because they STILL haven't refunded me my money and today the guy said "Well as I explained to you before" and went into this whole thing (none of which he had "explained" to me before.) and when I argued, he hung up the phone.
